What counts as "health insurance through your employer"?

The company I work for offers insurance but to get it I make $2 less an hour than if I didn't choose to have the insurance. It's a nursing agency and I go thru this company to work at a local hospital.

Since I am paying for the policy myself does it still count as " from my employer"?

Not that I can actually get through to the damn website to sign up for Obamacare but in the event that i ever do, I'd like to know if I qualify to try and get it.

It seems you are playing for insurance that is offered by your employer. PoliticAverse Oct 2013 #1

Is the cost of the insurance more than 9.5% of your family's income?
If yes you may qualify for subsidies on the exchanges. Regardless if you qualify for a subsidy
you can still use the exchange a buy a policy there if you don't want the insurance offered by your employer.
