"They just got a paid vacation"....

As I've lamented here many times, I work for some real Republican shills.

One of them just walked into the office this morning and picked up the local newspaper. The headline read "Furloughed Workers Back on the Job". His response was, "What are they complaining about! They just had a paid vacation."

These idiots are so far out of touch they wouldn't know reality if it hit them in the butt.

Hell, nobody ever spent a sleepless night wondering if they are going to be able to afford next month's rent. Nobody every worried that they might not have money to buy food. Nobody ever worries that they might not have enough money to take care of their children. Why, I don't understand why these furloughed workers didn't just use their time off to fly off to the Carribbean and have lunch! (Sarcasm, of course.)

If it's one thing that I've learned, it's that being rich does not equate to being smart or informed.

These people don't understand that employees might have to use vacation time so that their income doesn't drop for the time they were away from their jobs. They don't understand that people depend on their paychecks and don't necessarily have a year's worth of savings in the bank.

The arrogance really astounds me. Mostly, however, it angers me.

"So you think spending two weeks worrying about whether you'll have a job, let alone when you'll next see pay knowing all the while your well being hinges completely on A FUCKING ACT OF CONGRESS is some sort of a fucking vacation? How stupid are you?"

I work on a contract for the FAA, and was off for the duration as the contract does not deal with safety or flight management.

For every GS employee, there are probably 3 or 4 contractors who just like me, had to eat 2 weeks without pay.

I love fucking peas.
