it makes the Obamacare problems seem even worse.
Anyone who has had the pleasure of dealing with their health insurance carrier by phone knows that insurance company DBs are flawless. That's why your healthcare problems get solved through one 2-minute call to your insurer. That's why there's never a runaround. That's why you never hear stories of patients ever having to call their carrier multiple times to straighten out the same issue.
In such a perfect world, Obamacare didn't stand a chance.

(21,506 posts)Healthcare.gov has to hook into those databases. If there is a glitch in the insurance carriers database it will be reflected on healthcare.gov..At that point is it healthcare.gov that is at fault ?

(25,966 posts)"oh, the ineffectual govt bureaucracy" --- compared to what? I've dealt with fucking corporate bureaucracies, from inside and out, my whole life, and there's nothing remotely efficient or well-run about most of them either. And it doesn't take a huge corporation. A company with 25 people has a bureaucracy, and it's amazing how over-designed it can become even at that size.
