I assumed nothing would pass so long as the GOP had the house.

halfway decent is going to happen.
He can keep trying, but the ONLY thing that is going to get us anything like climate control initiatives or movement on the minimum wage?

The Republicans are masters at gaming the system. The last two moderately progressive presidents have lost control of Congress within two years of being elected. I'll work for a Democratic House next year, but the odds of it coming to pass are astronomical.

The odds of us gaining control of the house are bad, but they're not nearly as bad as the odds of us passing something like an increased minimum wage or climate change legislation with the Teabaggers in charge.
