Cuccinelli, Cruz Represent Extreme NeoPuritanism. A Bad Omen For Women

The fundamentalist push on marriage and reproductive right represents a movement back to early Puritanism in the early US. Cuccinelli and Cruz go beyond being anti abortion, they are anti birth control and family planning altogether. Both would criminalize abortion and even the use of birth control. They would favor prosecuting and jailing women and anyone who aids them in abortion or the use of basic methods of birth control. Both favor personhood.

They have an antequated view of marriage in that they both believe in marriage as a covenant you cannot get out of. Cuccinelli even favors laws making divorce difficult and even illegal. Part of that mantra includes state enforced counseling before separation.

The rights of women would move back to the 1600's if they got their way. And many would be crowned as the supreme ruler of the household.

They are both dangerous to the nation and the rights of women. Both favor theocracy over democracy and are the religious rights answer to a wayward nation.
