We should be suspicious of the relatively new popularity of "fire everyone and start over."

Precisely because those who make this claim were the same ones who, before losing power, prostituted their own corrupt political agenda.

The influx of powerless Republicans claiming to disown the entire system only occurred because Republicans lost power. The moment we give power back to them, they will be the loudest supporters of a corrupt state.

I have a better plan. Instead of firing everyone, fire the obstructionists. Fire the corrupt. In essence, fire the GOP.

Good and Bad Apples...

I have a grove of 535 apple trees. 162 of them are barren.

I should simply tear out the whole grove.... right?

Wrong.

Why not get rid of the barren trees?.. and replace them with trees that bear fruit?

The Tea wing of the Republican party simply does not believe in governance... or government generally.

Why not simply get rid of them?

You can dress up these crazy zealots and puritans in all kinds of garb, with all kinds of clever labels... but those of us paying attention can spot them a mile away.
