General Discussion
Related: Editorials & Other Articles, Issue Forums, Alliance Forums, Region ForumsI proclaim it officially the week end. Let the tone of posts reflect the proclamation.
During the week its not unexpected to see most of the postings here reacting to recent news or the various political stunts that rain down on us monday through news-dump friday. But the weekends are different. From friday evening until late sunday night the discussion tend to be more reflective of events than reactive. I relish the time.
So nows the time for the switch over, and this has been a week that gives lots to reflect on.

We may never know the chaos of a default, thanks to Harry Reid. We won't see a shutdown for a long time thanks to the Democrats holding the line behind President Obama, Reid and Pelosi. Somehow Pelosi kept her caucus from voting for the piece meal bills, Boehner could take a lesson from her.
As the politicians talk about raiding social security and blocking immigration reform, I can appreciate that everything in the U.S. is status quo for now.
Thank goodness for the weekend. I am ready for some football. Thanks for the post.
