The fact that 36 states REFUSED to establish their own state exchange thus forcing their citizens on to the Federal website.
Turns out that the states who did make their own exchange, like California, are fairing much better.
Also...I believe many, if not all, of these 36 states refused the Medicaid expansion and now have millions who fall through a hole and are not eligible for Medicaid nor the Federal exchange.
Let's put the real blame where it belongs...
FUCK YOU REPUBLICAN OBSTRUCTIONISTS!
The people in charge of awarding the contract to a troubled company are the cause of this.

(28,136 posts)I never mean't for my post to reflect the sole issue regarding healthcare.gov. But I do assert that there would be little need for the Federal site to be so overwhelmed had the states got on board.
I hear what you are saying about the contract. My understanding was that it was "no-bid" contract which makes this even worse in my opinion. Kinda like a Halliburton deal.

That is what I was wondering. I heard today that the data is corrupted and may not be useable...yikes! Not good. People cant wait.....
