Nixon's southern strategy has run it's course...

Enough bashing the South. There are some up and coming Democrats who are working very hard to take back the House, and keep the Senate. I think we should welcome and support not just them, but the southerners who elect them.

A funny thing is happening to the GOP’s quest to capture the Senate. In a new phenomenon, Southern Democrats who are seeking Senate seats are raking in big bucks from donors.

I have confidence that our unfairly maligned southern friends are going to make this happen. It's time to embrace them and the positive values that many represent.

I have every confidence that we are going to finally put these bozos behind us for good.

If anybody deserves a break in this country, it's our mailgned Southern friends, and I do not mean the "owners".
