Accept my ex-gay pseudoscience and harmful 'therapies' or we will sue you!

Should Virginia universities offer counseling for those who say they're gay, but don't want to be? It's a point-of-view, one group says exists.

The group, Voice of the Voiceless, has reached out to universities across Virginia demanding they offer ex-gay therapy.

The group's president says there are young people in the LGBTQ community who wants to change and need the proper guidance.

Problem is local psychologist, Lisa Griffin, says this idea of ex-gay therapy doesn't work.

I used to be a newt too, but I got better! Maybe the other newts out there can change too.

[font color="navy" face="Verdana"]I'm assuming, of course, that Virginia universities already have general psychological counseling services available for students, like most universities do.

Perhaps the "Voiceless" should make appointments to see the existing counselors, explain their need, and request referrals for the specialized "ex-gay therapists" that they want. Then the universities can take an actual count of real requests, accurately assess the existing demand, and staff accordingly.

That's not so hard, is it?

Unless... the "Voiceless" are frauds and propagandists in disguise... in which case, there is no real demand for ex-gay therapy.

But good Christians wouldn't lie about something like that. Would they?

The current accepted science says people ARE born with a certain orientation. Saying science says people are not born gay would mean that people are also not born straight. You can't have it both ways, so to speak.

On Edit:

If he was born straight and had that awful unwanted same-sex attraction then I'd like him to explain when he chose to have that attraction. Given his argument that people are not born gay then that must mean he, at some point, chose to have same-sex attraction. I'd like to hear him explain exactly when that was and why?
