So they want a Canadian to be president

I went looking for answers to this citizenship question, and according to Wikipedia, the interpretation of the "natural born American" requirement has traditionally included Americans born abroad who had citizenship at birth because of their parents' citizenship status.

So yeah, being born in Canada does not disqualify you from running for president.

So why Kenya?

There's got to be some black-and-white answer to this question.

For persons born between December 24, 1952 and November 14, 1986, a person is a U.S. citizen if all of the following are true:
The person's parents were married at the time of birth
One of the person's parents was a U.S. citizen when the person was born
The citizen parent lived at least ten years in the United States before the child's birth;
A minimum of 5 of these 10 years in the United States were after the citizen parent's 14th birthday

This is why the crazies want President Obama to have been born in Kenya; his mother was 17 when he was born so she would not have met the 5 year afterage 14 requirement (since changed), but Cruz' mother does meet the requirement.

If you don't agree, fine, I only researched because I had the same question.
