Move to the South! Give us, the handful of progressives/liberals here, some backup.
Be the change you want to see in the world! I mean, in the South. again
Well, OK, I'm being silly here. It's not easy to pick up and move to another city, let alone another state or region.
If it were, I'd move someplace blue. But because of family in the area, the difficulty of finding a good job with benes, etc.,
it just isn't practical.

(21,115 posts)got tired of worrying about my tires being slashed by Republicans if I put an Obama sticker on my bumper. And I know I will get flamed by those that say they live in the south and have an Obama sticker...
I was in the rural South....not a large city.

The warmer weather is tempting, but states in the South will have to adopt Medicaid expansion before I consider them for residency.
