I can't find anything live and wonder how the good people of San Antonio are dealing with it.

(10,857 posts)They came to shut down DC on a day when their idiot buddies had already shut down DC. So they managed to make traffic in DC slightly less good than the very best low-traffic days DC has seen in fifteen years.
It's a classic example of one disruption canceling out the intended purpose of a parallel operation. Like taking over a television station just after your own side blew up the power grid.
What it means to me is that there are now numerous disparate groups who have all figured out how to mobilize conservatives (mainly through fear, of course). These groups do not yet coordinate their operations among themselves because the puppeteers are all in competition with one another. The leadership of these various groups all seek material gain for themselves as a primary objective, and opposition to us is merely a subsidiary ruse to keep the money flowing in.
Greed can be profitable, but it's decidedly lacking in actual conviction.

(68,918 posts)On edit: anyone who has visited the site of the Alamo knows the actual Alamo area is relatively small, so it's not really looking like "hundreds of protesters" to me.

Update 3:05 p.m.
Police have threatened to cite remaining protesters who are armed for a violation of city ordinance that bans weapons in city parks. Police did not enforce the ordinance during the demonstration, but told a small group of armed protesters who declined to leave they would be cited if they stayed.
How do you even sleep at night, one protester asked an officer during a five-minute standoff that gained the attention of a small crowd.
The protester labeled the police tyrants with badges.

"Featured speaker Land Commissioner Jerry Patterson, a candidate for lieutenant governor whose General Land Office oversees the Alamo, approved the use of the Alamo grounds for the event. Until 2011 the Alamo was overseen by the Daughters of the Republic of Texas, which limited demonstrations at one of the state's most recognized landmarks."

... Demonstrations were not allowed when the mission was overseen by a historical association. But the site was taken over by the state in 2011, and Texas Land Commissioner Jerry Patterson, a gun rights advocate, decided to make it available. Patterson says the Alamo is an appropriate place to defend individual rights, but leaders of the Alamo Defenders' Descendants Association say it should be treated as a solemn memorial to those who died.

These people that love the Second Amendment, that are law-abiding citizens who respect this country's laws, they should not be trampling on a Native American cemetery, said Ronald Rocha, 72, a descendant of Mission Indians ...
