California man secures health insurance for $1 per month through Obamacare

Despite the government shutdown and an enrollment system that stumps many, the news on Obamacare is not all bad. Some people have had more positive experiences. Melissa Chan found some impressive results in Sacramento, California.

1. Yes, but, it's clearly now the goal by corporate media to ensure Americans begin to hate ObamaCare

so that people will continue to vote Republican in the mid-terms. It's in the best interest of Corporate America that Republicans remain in power in the House and this president and Democrats remain in the struggle to move this country forward. After all, it would be disastrous for Corporate America should Democrats do anything for us little people that might take a couple of pennies off the bottom line of corporations, and give President Obama a positive legacy, wouldn't it?

at the message that is being carried out across the television newscasts and on PBS, too, about the roll out being a disaster. Even Robert Gibbs is calling it a disaster.

So after the shutdown, the republicans needed a new "campaign," and their new angle became to focus on the technical problems. Little is said about the success of people who did find policies at a reasonable price. That we read about here. It is nowhere to be found on the "mainstream" media.

Nevertheless, it will evolve and people will have some sort of insurance policy. People will become loyal to Democrats and the republicans will become less and less relevant. Then corporate America will continue with the buyout of the Democratic party.

As more and more people gain affordable health insurance for the first time in our history, they will become more loyal to the Party that fought hard to make it so. That's why Corporate Media are not reporting CoveredCA or other state exchanges that are running smoothly. Instead, they're focusing - 100% - on the bumpy roll-out of the Federal exchange to frame the GOP narrative that ObamaCare is a "train wreck".

What Corporate Media are failing to do is highlight the fact that the Federal exchange is the only place people from Republican states can sign up for affordable health insurance because their Republican governors refuse to open their own. This is the cause why the Federal exchange is having such a bumpy start-up - too many people logging on to get that affordable health insurance!

What boggles my mind is the fact that the Republican Shutdown and Republican Threat to Default are now completely gone from Corporate Media reporting. What should've been followed up after Democrats successfully pushed to end the Republican Shutdown is the fact that it had cost our economy $24 billion dollars. If Corporate Media reported on that instead of going with the GOP meme that "ObamaCare is failing", it would immediately expose the Republican meme of "out-of-control spending" for the lie that it is, and the liars for what they are.

shocked as I realize the take over and total control of the media, by the corporatist, is underway.

which is our Medicaid program. That means we have already insured 10% of uninsured Oregonians while our exchange website is not yet running and having issues like the main exchange, plans were made in advance to fast track low income people onto the OHP using a direct method, in case the roll out was glitch prone because roll outs are often glitch prone.
Lots of credit to Governor Kitzhaber.

I don't like the idea at all and am skeptical of even getting a doctor to see me anyway.

Now my husband can afford the platinum plan with low deductibles and low co-pays at 40%-45% (I'm bad with percentages) less than he would have otherwise paid for them - based on his AGI. A $778 platinum plan will only cost him around $438 per month!

I get my health insurance from my daughter's law firm. They have an excellent benefits package. Dental (expansive package), vision (up to $300 for prescription glasses that I don't need - yet - and free annual exams), $10 prescription drug co-pay or $3 if through Walmart's pharmacy (I choose not to go there so I'll be paying more), and 100% hospitalization for only $40 per month. My daughter is Executive Assistant to the two executive attorneys of her firm and she's currently lobbying her employers to buy the platinum package which covers everything 100%, so we'll see how that goes in 2014. But I'm excited to be living in a state that actually gets with good programs!
