(37,540 posts)Seems like a lot of companies don't know where their advertising dollars end up. They write checks to some advertising broker and have no idea where the commercials will play. Seems like I've heard this explanation quite a bit and I've never understood why a company doesn't seem to have control where ad placements are made. I understand the difficulty in placing specific ads on the internet and it might make more sense to use a Google algorithm to determine ad placements...but radio should be much more targeted to specific audiences and shows.

(11,252 posts)I saw their name on the list earlier, but had to finish up a paper due tonight so I planned on writing them later.
I'm glad I don't have to write them hate mail. I like their products.
Thanks, BE!!

(31,706 posts)When I first saw Bare Essentials I chuckled until I dug a little further. This is one of Cheap Channel's bulk advertisers. They buy hundreds of commercials on Cheap Channel stations all over the country. One of the company's biggest brands is "Kiss"...the Top hits format. To get a real cheap rate on the Kiss stations, Bare Essentials spots are placed all over the place including into Rushbo's slimefest. Hopefully their directive will be followed.
At the rate we're going all listeners will soon hear is McGruff the Crime dog during "commercial breaks". It'll be interesting how far Cheap Channel will let this bleeding go on...nary a peep from the corporates!

(95,337 posts)Hi Lynne,
We take all of your feedback to heart and can assure you that we did not authorize the airing of our radio ads during The Rush Limbaugh Show. We have taken steps to ensure that our radio ads do not air on this program and are investigating how our company was included on the list of advertisers who were said to have aired on the show. We exist to make a positive difference in women's lives, and thank you for your understanding.
