"Md. Man Who Received Synthetic Trachea Has Died"
The trachea was grown in a lab in Sweden from the man's own stem cells, completely eliminating any rejection issues. The new trachea was successfully implanted back in late 2010. He died this morning after a week in the hospital. The precise cause of death has not been reported.
