Iowa targeting out of state drivers - Drive 4 mph over limit and you'll get interrogated like this:

Register Investigation: Iowa State Patrol nabs more drivers from out of state
State data: California, Colorado drivers cited often
Oct. 19, 2013 11:50 PM

The cruise control on the PT Cruiser was set at the 70-mph limit, but Frank Furillo says his car automatically picked up speed on an Interstate Highway 35 incline in southern Iowa.

Lights flashed, and the Wisconsin man pulled over.

Iowa State Patrol officer Andrew Ehrsam told Furillo he clocked him at 74 mph and asked him to step into his patrol car, Furillo said. A trooper in training sat in the back seat as Ehrsam began to write a warning ticket.

“All of the sudden the trooper who pulled me over starts interrogating me,” said Furillo, 60.

In Maryland (Howard County) 90+% of the drivers pulled over were minorities.

Makes you wonder.

I know what you're saying, but expressing your rights doesn't always work so well.

Sad to say.

I guess the cops want to book innocent people on charges they drummed out of them. Pathetic and desperate.

He can't get it through his thick skull that this guy "does research" as a hobby, simply because he enjoys doing it. This cop probably hasn't read a book in his adult life.

since he doesn't understand why anyone else would do so. And clearly the concepts of "doing research" and "writing a book" are completely beyond his comprehension.
