If The Dems Cave On Social Security And Medicare They Will Rescue The GOP

If they cave the GOP will blame them for the cuts like they did in 2010 when the alleged cuts were not cuts in services. Why the Dems keep ignoring and even punishing their progressive base if beyond me. The GOPPERS go out of their way to support their base but the Dems go out of their way to ignore it. When Rahm said progressives had no where to go fuck you, he cost us the loss in 2010. Attacking your base is like a person stabbing themselves in the chest. It is complete idiotic.

Obama still does not embrace the left. And we seem to have no strong Senators who will defend these earned benefit programs. What are we going to be able to vote for if the Dems won't aggressively support these programs? I am really losing faith.

... like stopping the gerrymandering or reversing the filibuster?

Seems like every two months there comes up a "stop Obama from cutting xxx " thread and there's never ever going to be a benefit cut of xxx ... not even talked about

He was talking about chained CPI. That's not an efficiency.

All the FUD in the world can't change that. Perhaps they should stop doing that and then Democrats will trust them to not cut SS. The mere offer ended any trust I had in them looking out for one of our most important programs.

corporations (7% effective income tax rate?) to bear an equitable portion of the income tax burden required to pay for governmental operations, service its debt, and meet its obligations. The inexorable proof will be in the pudding cooked up.

He said it. This tells us a great deal about the President. None of it good.

They're apparently happy with being far less accurate than a stopped clock.
