Anti-identity theft company "Lifelock" sticks by Rush (ROFL)

He said he's sorry, didn't he?

One sponsor that's sticking with Rush Limbaugh spoke out Monday. LifeLock, the anti-identify theft outfit, said it will remain in the right-wing host's stable of radio advertisers, despite an exodus of companies following Limbaugh's incendiary description of Georgetown law student Sandra Fluke.

"We do not agree with Rush Limbaugh's recent comments but we acknowledge his apology," LifeLock Chief Marketing Office Marvin Davis wrote in a statement emailed to The Huffington Post. "At this time, we are not making any changes to our advertising program.”

Oh yes, Bully for them....but here's the thing:

http://www.wired.com/threatlevel/2007/06/lifelock_founde_1/

The New Times article disclosed information about Maynard’s past bankruptcies and a federal investigation into a previous company he owned, based on public records, and also revealed an incident involving Maynard’s father, which suggested that Maynard, Jr., may have stolen the identity of his father to obtain an American Express card. Davis, in a follow-up call, did not dispute the information about the bankruptcies or the FTC investigation into Maynard’s previous company (which he says he knew about before the New Times story came out) but said that LifeLock’s lawyers found no merit to the claim that Maynard stole his father’s identity. He wouldn’t elaborate, however, on what his investigators found to reach that conclusion.

Oh, and the product doesn't really work, either:

Lifelock has more than its share of negative press, maybe even a bit dodgy. Click the third link for a report on their services, many of which are available to anybody for free. So maybe it's not surprising that they are sticking by pig-boy, yet another dodgy product.
