Sen. McConnell on Fox: We Knew Shutdown Strategy ‘Was a Mistake Back in July’

Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell admitted the Fox’s Bret Baier Monday evening that he knew the Republican strategy to shut down the government in opposition to the Affordable Care Act “was a mistake back in July.”

McConnell was responding to a new poll from CNN showing that 54% of Americans think Republican Party control of the House if “bad” for the country. “Certainly shutting down the government was a flawed strategy,” McConnell said. “It was a mistake. We knew it was a mistake back in July. But others decided to pursue this strategy.”

acknowledged there was a plant to shut down the government, and it had been around for a while. I'm going to love seeing the back peddling from politicians on this.
Also folks, every time we talk about his looking like a turtle and not his bad policies or other political issues, he wins. If you want to make turtle comments, please do so after you've addressed his miserable failures as a legislator.
