either that, or a Cuban Manchurian Candidate.

(8,421 posts)"demonic plan"-which also may be true.
He looks like "Tailgunner Joe" to me. And he seems to act like him.

(39,313 posts)In a way it's true because Ted Cruz learned extreme attitudes about social programs from his dad, Rafael, who supposedly supported the revolution at one point and turned against it.
So we can thank Fidel for this current Dem gift!!!

(20,885 posts)Ted Cruz can remind one of a a Joe McCarthy, at a time that he has nostalgic followers.
We live in the time of Poe's Law.

In a sermon last year at an Irving, Texas, megachurch that helped elect Ted Cruz to the United States Senate, Cruz' father Rafael Cruz indicated that his son was among the evangelical Christians who are anointed as "kings" to take control of all sectors of society, an agenda commonly referred to as the "Seven Mountains" mandate, and "bring the spoils of war to the priests", thus helping to bring about a prophesied "great transfer of wealth", from the "wicked" to righteous gentile believers.

(5,105 posts)Don't give that little turd any credibility. He represents what the repigs really stand for -- treason, subversion, destruction. The best writers in Hollyweird couldn't have dreamed him up. He's all theirs. He's what they say at the dinner table on sundays after church, just like Phelps.
He's a "king," dedicated to taking over the gubmint for dominionism. King of bullshit mountain.

(11,175 posts)There's no Democratic Party entity that would be capable of designing such a scheme, let alone pulling it off.
But it's a fun idea, don't you think. He sunk the Republican Titanic. It was going down anyway, he just helped. A lot.
