So Mittens introduces his wife as a 'heavyweight' and instantly tries to take it back

in his uniquely clumsy way that almost makes you feel his pain, almost, but then Mrs. Mittens starts off answering OK, ribbing him, but then launches into a serious explanation of why campaigning makes people gain weight. She actually makes excuses for gaining weight when no one, not even her idiot husband meant it that way.

It was an illuminating moment in so many ways.

It was obvious he only stopped to think after using the word, and not that he meant to say she was fat. Yet she went on to give excuses for getting fat on the campaign trail, thereby giving his self tripping gaffe legitimacy. I absolutely don't see her as fat at all. She looks quite normal to me.
