I've never seen such a beatdown.
War criminal. The man who brought torture to America.
It went on and on.
The panelists were a bit dumbstruck. Anderson Cooper and the others let Sullivan rant.
I gotta see that again.

(38,505 posts)This guy has been on a gravy train tour of softball interviews all day. I have no respect for NBC or any MSM "journalists" today.

(26,371 posts)and liberals represented a treasonous "fifth column" that would betray America to the barbarians.
I also remember him using The New Republic to promote racist pseudoscience and to defeat Hillary's health care reform with a blatantly false article.
And let's not even get into the matter of condemning the "libidinal pathology" of gay men while secretly trolling for bareback sex online.
It's always good to see someone attack Cheney, but Sully's history is an ugly one.

(59,587 posts)Still torn about Sullivan - seriously, how could anyone be that stupid and blind to the extent to which we were being sold a bill of goods regarding 9/11 and Iraq? Seriously.
Useful idiot who finally smelled the coffee, I guess.

(45,319 posts)presence in the administration. Sullivan was a cheerleader for Cheney and the Iraq invasion, not only a cheerleader but a goon squad leader who attacked liberals, opponents of the war and those who questioned Bush and Cheney as fools who were 'stuck in Vietnam era thinking'. If you opposed the war, Sullivan questioned your loyalty in print.
Eventually when Iraq was a mess Sullivan distanced himself from his previous heroes Cheney and Bush, but no one should forget what he said nor what he did, both about Bushco and about Democrats and others opposed to the illegal invasion of Iraq.

(50,130 posts)He reminded Sullivan that Sullivan had supported the war and had supported Bush.
Cooper asked Sullivan if he could forgive Cheney for the war crimes. No. Sully said. He is not forgiveable. Cheney did the most damage anyone ever has to America.
Sullivan said words that no one else has dared to say on MSM. The truth about Cheney.
And today there is just crickets about his statement, on MSM.
