Rep. Darrell Issa Announces on Fox: Leading Investigation Into Obamacare Website

http://www.mediaite.com/tv/rep-darrell-issa-announces-on-fox-leading-investigation-into-obamacare-website/

As Chairman of the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee, Rep. Darrell Issa (R-CA) led the official investigations into the 2012 attack on the Benghazi consulate and politically-based targeting by the IRS. And now, he’s found his latest “scandal”: the Obamacare website. On Fox News Tuesday afternoon, Issa told Gretchen Carlson that he has launched an investigation to find out exactly what went wrong with HealthCare.gov.

Issa began by rejecting White House Press Secretary Jay Carney’s notion that criticizing the website amounts to “Monday morning quarterbacking.” He said, “It is only the first few minutes of the first quarter. There will be trillons of dollars spent on Obamacare. This is not Monday morning, it’s real time.”

He went on to accuse the Obama Administration of “political interference” and suggested that they attempted to “bury the information that people wanted most, which was ‘what do the programs have and what is the price?’” Asked why they would choose to hide the basic facts of the health care plans available, Issa answered with two words: “sticker shock.”

He argued that the administration wanted people to see their “subsidy” but not the actual price of the plans. These efforts, according to Issa, “made the site more vulnerable to waste and overhead and made it work slower.” Ultimately, he said, the administration “put politics ahead of people’s real health care needs.”

Coming from Issa that's priceless.

Yet in a more serious note, he'll do what he's good at - being an obsessive, obstructionist, inflammatory political jerk.
