Another insane remark from the dim bulbs of the Reich wing.
Somebody needs to be on the flagpole for this, and somebody ought to be fired. If the presidents not going to resign, he should fire somebody else, Alexander said during Fox Newss Happening Now.

(1,990 posts)Software people can tell you that this is a typical example of a project that never had a chance to succeed on time. It is a huge project, and the requirements kept changing. There are lots of books on how huge software projects can run late.

(8,361 posts)this guy is calling for racists to become unhinged. As such, this senator should be visited by the secret service and reminded he has a responsibility as a leader to tone down this kind of bullshit rhetoric.

Umm. To give them a sacrifice would be to grant them power they shouldn't have, and legitimize their narrative that the ACA is a disaster. I hope we isolate causes of any real problems and work on explaining and solving them, rather than naming some scapegoat to appease the crazies. Making this about blame plays into their worldview of punishment, rather than our own view favoring hope and improvement.
Of course, there could be situation where blame and punishment could be valid. If one or more parties has deliberately sabotaged the process, for instance. Still, I think we need to be more careful on the level of framing, in cases like this. Much of what's happening in our era is a massive struggle between views of man and society and our possible futures.

(9,854 posts)they would get fired. Somebody fucked up something BIG somewhere. Acknowledging that the ACA rollout has been less than stellar does not mean that you don't support the ACA. People can say this has been awful without being traitors to Obama.

(15,664 posts)wouldn't it be more prudent to get to the bottom of the problem before picking out someone to fire?
I also have my doubts when people assert that someone would be fired in the private sector. I see plenty of unpunished incompetence there as well. Besides, the work done by contractors from the private sector.
