FloriDuh----Lake Brantley teacher suspended for taping up student

This guy gets a 5 day suspension for this. If he did this to my daughter he'd be taped from head to toe and dropped into a vat of wet cement.

A Lake Brantley High teacher was suspended without pay starting Wednesday because he taped a student's hands together, tried to tape her mouth closed and taped her book bag to a pole in the classroom, according to the Seminole County school district.

Greg Sims, a science teacher who has taught in the district for 25 years, will be out of work for five days without pay, the Seminole County School Board decided yesterday.

The board's decision backed up the recommendation of Superintendent Walt Griffin. In a letter to Sims sent earlier this month, Griffin said the teacher's conduct in dealing with a student disrupting class was "egregious" and "represents misconduct in office."

Sims likely would face firing if he has any other problems in the classroom, said Mike Lawrence, school district spokesman.

Since when I went to school there. I once was forced to keep paper towels in my mouth for half an hour as a child in Florida.

This idiot shouldn't be around children.

What kind of shitty rules are in place to shield someone after doing something this reprehensible?
