Isn't that just a sterling example of good citizenship? Sure, I don't think he has a "plan" at all, and he's touting a political talking point that has no basis in reality, designed to appeal to people who don't reflect too deeply on it. But isn't it nice to know that if Newt really had some kind of magic wand to roll gas prices back to $2.50 a gallon, he wouldn't wave it unless we all said we loved him?

The man is a fuckstick of the first water.

The plan, as we now know, was to quit sabotaging the peace talks Johnson started.

Newt's like a giant slug with a Phil Donahue Wig and a frost-princess wife . . . we're all just stretching to understand where he fits in this world, if at all.

Thank you for posting this. You reminded me of the night we taught Victor, at my recording facility, how to replace audio to a video.

We had an episode of the detective series "Mannix".

Mannix and his secretary Peggy were on a hill talking and me and Jeff just improvised some replacement dialog.

I played Peggy.

Jeff looked at Peggy and said "Peggy ... you make my butt water"

Victor said "I have been around the block... I have never heard the term ""butt water".

Those were precious times. Thank you for making me recall them .... and "butt water"

Here are some clips from a right wing forum applauding Newts qualifications.....

Was thinking a bit... here is what is basically REALLY wrong with this Romney thing--
1. he does not appeal to people because he just doesn't seem to be one of them.
2. as was just pointed out--we have BIG problems. It seems as if Newt may well have actually written his own solutions. Imagine that! I do not believe Romney even wrote his plan. I don' t believe he is a true student of government and solutions and our history. I think he's a 'plug in'. And we need someone who can handle things that aren't in the 'Presidency for Dummies' manual.

The left and the establishment right are worried about Newt. There has been blood in the water and its NEWT's blood and he hasn't forgot, which they know. With all of the liberal positions that Romney has had, they know he will be easy to manipulate, but Newt has no pity on all of those (left and right) that ruined his political carrier and if he becomes president, "katie bar the door"

Mittens is the solution if you think we need to drive the good people of this country towards an actual revolution if you want to fix things instead of hauling around ammo and supplies, I suggest we go with a guy who is thinking about HOW to fix them
rather than a guy thinking on how to spend the money in a different way

I promise that there are a ton of conservatives that have voted for Newt that are not looking forward to doing it again. In the end they will because my state is going to vote for the Republican, but we will not be happy for having done it.

I can see the ethical argument, seriously I can but the circumstances are different from a president getting BJ in the oval office and lying under oath about it to congress, to the people on camera. Immoral is immoral, I concede that point but Clinton was a serial rapist as well with a long history of sexual abuse and misconduct. It comes down to a personal opinion, a judgment call that people will have to deal with. Call it hypocritical if you like, I'm past a past issue. It all comes down to this…..
1. If you don't elect Gingrich on Saturday, he will lose the Republican presidential nomination.
2. If Gingrich loses the nomination, Mitt Romney will win it.
3. If Romney wins the nomination, he will lose to President Barack Obama in November.
4. If the Republican nominee loses in November, America, as we know it, is basically over.

“Yet all this overlooks the real source of Gingrich's appeal. He's not a man, he's not even a Marshmallow Man – he's the perfect embodiment of the Republican party, distilled down to its essence; namely hypocrisy, shamelessness, arrogance and Sarah Palin”.

Gingrich in 2010.
Newt will make the trains run on time.

Again. Just like in 2008. Yeah, no hyperbolic overstatement here. Or maybe the "as we know it" refers to endless wars, general incompetence, and stupid fiscal policy that we get when Republicans are in the WH.
