John Ratzenberger's American Made will feature ALL AMERICAN CLOTHING UPDATED!!!

Last edited Wed Oct 23, 2013, 10:27 PM - Edit history (2)

UPDATE: I see I confused some DUers about my jeans and shirts. I was so excited to post the news I didn't think about the title. I have been buying their products for years. A quick search will show I have posted about this company several times for new products, sales, etc. I don't make a dime off these posts. I'm promoting jobs (many are union like the Wigwam socks, King Louie wear that came back from bankruptcy in 2006, and Thorogood boots) in the US that pay middle class taxes thanks to All American Clothing carrying their products.

From email: We’re pleased to announce that we will be featured on actor John Ratzenberger's new TV series, John Ratzenberger's American Made.

You might remember John as Cliff Clavin (the mailman on Cheers), the voice of many Pixar characters, and the host of Made in America, which aired on the Travel Channel from 2004 - 2008.

John loves this country and is proud to showcase American companies like ours. You’ll see the story behind our company including how we build the products we all know and love. The series will also feature other great American companies and inspiring “Made in the USA” stories.

4) Are your products made in the USA?YES, our products are made in the USA. Our products are currently made in Georgia, Illinois, Kansas, Kentucky, Texas and Wisconsin! We meet and exceed all requirements set by the FTC (click here to visit the FTC) http://business.ftc.gov/documents/bus03-complying-made-usa-standard

Made in USA Certified: What does this mean?

Made in USA Certified ™ is a third party that provides an independent, trusted and recognizable certification that assures products are made in the United States of America. To establish qualification for the Made in USA Certified™ Seal, or Product of USA Certified™ Seal, products must be certified as having all or virtually all of their core components manufactured or grown in the United States of America, as well as 100% of their assembly conducted in the U.S. A.

"All American Clothing Co. competes in an industry that is considered to be 97% foreign made. Thus we receive emails on a daily basis asking if we are truly in the top 3% of USA Made apparel manufactures. Patrons constantly question us about raw goods and labor. I certainly cannot fault buyers for asking.... but the truth is we are one of the few that can legally claim to be USA Made. We exceed the Federal Trade Commissions strictest of rules. The backing offered by Made in USA Certified™ consistently helps us to satisfy our patrons that we are being honest, compliant and well within the FTC Act's conditions/rules. USA Made products and jobs are important and Made in USA Certified™ helps us to give comfort to the patrons that they are getting a genuine USA Made product."

Not Walmart pricing, but not bad. Some cute blouses.

Too bad that there are not many options for women. They need to improve the women's selections and options....since I am in the market for a coat and shoes, I looked, and there is one two coats (and they are just jackets) and no women's shoes/boots. Too bad.

It was actually less expensive than an imported Levi's jacket and it fits great. It replaced a very old US-made Levi's jacket that had finally gotten too worn to keep wearing and I like it just as much as my old one.

Actor John Ratzenberger, known partly for his role as Cliff Clavin in the 1980s sitcom "Cheers," slammed the Democratic bill as a form of socialism.

"These are Woodstock Democrats," he said at the rally. "We have to remember where their philosophy comes from. It doesn't come from America. It comes from overseas. It comes from socialism. And socialism is a philosophy of failure."

38. USA Textile manufacturing is coming back in a big way.
Thu Oct 24, 2013, 06:17 PM
Oct 2013

We sew everything here in the US. There are a few sewing contractors that are so busy, they are buying up the factories that went out of business and expanding. All the textile manufacturing went overseas and decimated entire communities. But because of the rise of the internet and ecommerce, small companies like ours are bringing it back.

There are so many advantages to manufacturing in the US. Quality of course being number 1. When we are in production, I can go on the floor and look at how everything is going. I know many people who were fooled into thinking foreign=more profit who literally lost everything when their shipment of goods arrived and whole orders were completely unsellable and ruined.

Secondly, we make organic items that don't need to be sprayed with nasty/toxic stuff so it won't rot on it's sometimes year-long journey from overseas. That nasty chemical smell you smell when you open a package? That's any number of very toxic chemicals that are most likely embedded in the fabric so it won't rot. Nice, huh?

And last but not least, we believe in the skill and talent of American workers. And we want to invest in our community. So please, next time you shop, look for Made or Manufactured in the USA. There are tons of choices now!
