Those states that didn't set up their own ACA exchanges

Last edited Fri Oct 25, 2013, 07:58 PM - Edit history (1)

Does anyone have the breakdown on the states that rebelled?
Specifically which and how many states are ran by Republicans that refused to create their own exchange?

And also how many are blue that did.

I am surprised we don't really have cases of Republican Governors taking on their own exchanges in order to really screw it up.

Once the healthcare.gov mess is cleaned up, people living in red states will be far better off with the national exchange. And that makes it easier to envision adding a public option to the exchanges.

Since each state has its own insurance providers, along with a smaller customer base than the national site, building the web resource was easier. Not that the MN site didn't have it's own problems, but they got fixed quickly. I think the states with their own exchanges are actually working better than the national site in general.

Sometimes, bigger isn't better.
