County asks GOP hopefuls to sign no-ring, no-sex pledge

To appear on the GOP ticket in Laurens County in South Carolina, candidates must now sign a pledge that they have never had premarital sex -- one of "28 principles of Republicanism" that aspirants must agree to honor. They also include: a ban on pornography, opposition to abortion and same-sex marriage and advocating for gun-ownership rights. The resolution, passed Feb. 28, requires candidates to meet with a three-person subcommittee, who will make recommendations to the entire executive board. We're sure those "prove you haven't had premarital sex" queries are gonna be real interesting.

The head of the state party said residence, age and no felonies are the only requirements for holding office in the state and no county or state party could alter that.

Inquiring minds want to know. Not that I have anything against transvestite hookers of course.

What's up with that? Come on Republicans bring back prohibition. And while you're at it how about a whites and Christians only rule? Don't hold back. You know you want to do it.
