MONKEY COURT (Frank Pallone Appreciation Thread)

Yes, Congressman Pallone, I HAVE noticed that most of the House investigations have resembled MONKEY COURTS since the Republicans took over.

Fast & Frivolous
Contempt vote against Holder
The IRS (non)-Scandal
The vast Benghazi 'conspiracy'
And now, the IT 'GEEK INQUISITION.'

I think I'm going to start calling Daryll Issa "Dr. Zaius."

And when he gets Kathleen Sebelius on the stand, I expect him to say "I think we can all agree that the accused is a NON-APE, and therefore is not entitled to protection under Ape Law."

PRIMORDIAL DEMOCRAT

"He must have lived...70...80 years ago. He used Keynesian Economics to RE-INFLATE THE ECONOMY when it collapsed. He MOCKED his Republican opposition, instead of trying to 'compromise' with them before even starting to negotiate. He brought in primitive laws that prevented banks and stock brokers from screwing everybody, and he RE-DISTRIBUTED WEALTH to the working class with government run PENSION funds; and government run MORTGAGE companies....

....he was a weak animal, but he was BETTER than you, and he was here BEFORE you!"

I particularly liked the part where he called them out for wasting time blathering about HIPAA, when it doesn't even apply to the website.

8. Just learned this for which I strongly applaud Rep. Pallone, contrary to Offit's view.

From the Editor: Thank Frank

Did you notice Rep. Frank Pallone, D-NJ, speaking out at the Obamacare hearing? He's the one whose FDA Modernization Act found the FDA "asleep at the switch" on thimerosal in 1999. Thanks, Frank!

In 1997, Frank Pallone, a U.S. congressman from New Jersey, attached a simple, 133-word amendment to a Food and Drug Administration (FDA) reauthorization bill. This amendment gave the FDA 2 years to “compile a list of drugs and foods that contain intentionally introduced mercury compounds and [to] provide a quantitative and qualitative analysis of the mercury compounds in the list.”1 The bill — the FDA Modernization Act of 1997 — was signed into law on November 21, 1997. Neither the press nor the public took notice...

...Nevertheless, mercury should never be a reason not to vaccinate; it is easy to get your child fully vaccinated without exposing him or her to a mercury-containing preservative, says Neal Halsey, director of the Institute for Vaccine Safety at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health in Baltimore. For example, parents can request versions of the influenza vaccine that have no mercury, Halsey says.
