The European Spy agencies are so good

that the US has never detected them spying on our citizens, politicians, or businesses. The US needs to fund even more to the NSA so they can catch up, rather than 3 times NASA'S budget they need to make it 5 times the amount.

We can't be a second rate on this. I think the NSA needs a new captain's chair too. The intelligence gap must be closed. Obama needs to appoint more Cheney and Rumsfeld picks for the NSA when they retire like Clapper and Alexander who built this agency up thank god and tripled its budget.

Otherwise we would be even further behind the Europeans and the technological mega giants like Brazil and Mexico whose spying in our oval office still goes undetected and unproven.

its a giant machine for their intelligence agencies. Its a front

I have the timing memes BTW of when they activate it and intelligence gathering.

This why they spent billions on it.

But we still need less control on the NSA not more, in order to protect Obama and our Liberty and freedom.

The europeans are just too good at the game.

I think that's an obvious overreach (this all happened under Bush, btw). Senators and Representatives? Yeah, OK, they need minor vetting at best (if they're citizens and their campaign donations to avoid corruption and whatnot), but not damn spying on their phone calls. That shit is insane.

The Europeans are relying on us to spy for them. Russia and China have had their programs divulged and they're as bad as the NSA.

Let's not kid ourselves. We share what we will with our allies and they'll happily take it.

It's one reason Russia and China have been caught spying on us and are now oh so concerned about our spying on them.

Do you seriously think every time the US catches a foreign government conducting surveillance they publish it in the evening news??? Therefore since there have been no evening news stories about it it must not be happening???

What the hell would be the point of that? How do you think this process works exactly? This stuff only goes public when there's a leak. Do you get that?

in the fight against european cultural hegemony.

We need more olive groves taken over and more money sent to Israel to support our and their indirect imperial dominance

The soviet union has too much influence on eastern europe and their spies are all over europe according to Reagan.

We must protect our allies by spying on them because they don't have enough sense to understand world politics like Americans.

Thank god we are now following the Israel's example of spying on people traveling from airports weeks before they leave. The US is now doing that but not China or Russia.

The Israelis are a shining example of good guys as are we with our efforts in Iraq and Afghanistan.

The europeans must be stopped.

of China's spying. The entire summit in California was designed to give Obama the chance to call out China on spying. That is until Snowden and the leaks. I'm tired of those whining about the "revelations" of Snowden and how he's some hero. He still hasn't revealed anything about spying on citizens I didn't already know, and the loss to the US at that meeting was devastating.

And yes, many countries spy on us. China hacked into the campaign laptops of McCain and Obama during the elections. They sent a letter to McCain basically letting him know what they were doing.

It's absurd to think that if we catch a country spying that we publish it in the papers. I think most people would at least wait and feed bad intel to them for a while. That's what happened with D Day and other military maneuvers. They use compromised communications to convince them the attack will be on a different day or place.

intentions, but also as to whether he was being "handled" by a foreign government. I still think China may have been behind it due to his time in Japan and his transfer to the section that oversees China, but that public statement didn't serve his cause and made him lack credibility. It seemed he was saying it for Russia's benefit and not his own.
