When you get money from the rich (taxes) and give it to the poor it's called socialism. But when you take money from the poor and give it to the rich it's called capitalism.

The word "welfare" trumps "corporate" in their minds. They believe corporate welfare is still "handouts" from the government to citizens. Corporations don't enter the equation in their minds and when you tell them it's about government giving extra money to large corporations, they either don't believe you or don't understand what you're telling them.

There was even a graphic making the rounds on Facebook saying "End Corporate Welfare - My money shouldn't support my lazy neighbors."

Whereas the other kind just benefits the least.

"Why do the most profitable companies in the history of the world need subsidies?"

"Why do some of them pay NO taxes or a lower tax rate than working Americans?"
