When you get money from the rich (taxes) and give it to the poor it's called socialism. But when you take money from the poor and give it to the rich it's called capitalism.

This reflects that continuing 'The Republicans are setting the schedule' meme.

WE have to get this message out there day after day after day after day after day.

Dems are too smart. We see it, get it, and expect that it was digested. These guys don't digest, they need it pounded into them, just like they pound their constituents with stupid.

*Dave - not sure if you meant Dem or Rep leadership with your 'they'. Valid point, either way.

bite the hand that feeds him.
I realize that the Democratic reps take money too, but dang it's too good to pass up.
I have such fits at the "take money from the poor' crowd that I always answer
That if you wanna take from a hungry kid, take from a rich corp. dollar for dollar.
If our fiscal problems are so bad, why not?
And I am not so naive to think that it will happen anytime soon, but once again, it's such a huge 800 pound whatever in the room.
Sigh, tilting at windmills again, I'll put up my lance...

Don't bite the hand that feeds you.
And that hand feeds them all, Dems and GOPers alike, as well as the MSM.
So until we get the money out of politics don't expect any change.

The word "welfare" trumps "corporate" in their minds. They believe corporate welfare is still "handouts" from the government to citizens. Corporations don't enter the equation in their minds and when you tell them it's about government giving extra money to large corporations, they either don't believe you or don't understand what you're telling them.

There was even a graphic making the rounds on Facebook saying "End Corporate Welfare - My money shouldn't support my lazy neighbors."

"Why do the most profitable companies in the history of the world need subsidies?"

"Why do some of them pay NO taxes or a lower tax rate than working Americans?"

Oh, That IS what should be asked and answered.
