It may be up to 30 advertisers leaving rush. new link

http://mediamatters.org/blog/201203050019

Media Matters has compiled the following list of companies advertising on The Rush Limbaugh Show as compiled from the program's WABC airing, as well as companies who have announced that they will no longer advertise on the show in the wake of his misogynistic attacks on Sandra Fluke. As many stations that carry the show air ads from local companies, this list should not be considered comprehensive.
As of today, 29 advertisers have canceled their ads running during The Rush Limbaugh Show

The focus is going to get more intense on the dwindling group left. How's that invisible hand of the freemarket working out for you, El Rushbo?

Is this common?

I thought I'd listen to how he finishes up the last 15 minutes of his show, which runs from 12-3 daily, right?

Now they're transitioning to another song . . . .

with many of his regulars leaving, the stations are filing in with these other advertisers. Take Geico...

<<Geico has banned advertising on Limbaugh’s programs since 2004, according to a customer-service e-mail.

“On occasion, a local station may mistakenly run a GEICO ad in the wrong time slot,” the e-mail said. “We are directing our ad buyers to make sure that does not happen.”>>

So each day there will be new advertisers to target. We really need to target 'media buyers', as well as the companies themselves.

Why were they already supporting Limbaugh through ads?

He was bad enough already!
