Cop shoots unarmed man and lies about it it. Caught on neighboring video.

There probably is an article about this somewhere. I noticed the video on CNN which tells it all. Two cops approach a guy sitting in a chair. He stands up. One of the cops shoots him.

The cops report said that he got up with a knife and "took several steps toward them in an aggressive manner." What the cops didn't know was that there was surveilance video from a neighboring house that caught the entire incident.

The shooter was fired and charged with "aggravated assault". It is going to a grand jury. I don't understand why this guy wasn't charged with attempted murder. Of course he is "in shock" that such a thing would happen to him.

That testimony of a police officer who has shot someone must be presumed false unless corroborated by independent evidence or testimony. In any case where witness testimony and the officer's testimony conflict, it is the witness, not the officer, who should be believed, unless there is physical evidence confirming the officer's account. Testimony of fellow police officers in support of an officer who has shot someone should similarly be presumed false, unless supported by independent evidence or witnesses.

The idiot district judge needs to retire as well. People actually wonder if they're all (cops, DA and judges) on the same team.
