Hate for profit?

Do wingnut pundits actually believe what they’re saying? Do Limbaugh, Hannity, Glen Beck, Coulter, Drudge, Malkin, and the many other so-called “crazies” actually believe the garbage they’re spouting?

IMO, it’s all about the money. I believe that these sewer dwellers are peddling what often crosses the line into pure evil, in order to make themselves wealthy. There’s a big audience out there that eats up any and all of the crap being sold by these hate mongers. And the bottom line is that spreading toxic venom is immensely profitable.

What do you think? Do they really believe the poison that spills from their mouths?

Hate is profitable, as such it is peddled in all forms of media and by many entities who have something to gain from encouraging hate, rage, and discontent. I will not consider your question antagonistic though it was probably queried with the intent of eliciting a passioned and unreasonable response.

Hannity is definitely in this category. He's just a puppet that's been programmed by people far more intelligent to spew the propaganda.

Several others are failed radio DJ's who stumbled onto a profitable shtick peddling hate to an audience of mental midgets. Beck and to a lesser extent Limbaugh are examples. There are also a lot of second tier wing nut radio talkers who had their start as music DJ's.

Coulter has become a parody of herself. IMO she is fully aware that she's talking nonsense whether or not she believes everything she says, but she has discovered she can make a lot of money by saying outrageous things.

Some are self loathing head cases like Savage Weiner or Matt Drudge.

But they all are making pretty good money peddling bullshit.

Savage is mentally ill but mercenary. Limbaugh is a bully who kinda believes it but mostly puts on a show.
