So, the Republicans' new brilliant strategy is to base their political future

on bashing a website?

Has anyone explained to these geniuses that websites that don't work very well . . . . get fixed?

So, they bash healthcare.gov, providing short-term negative publicity, which is still . . . publicity.

Then, when the good guys get the website fixed, that will be a major story, providing positive publicity. At which point everyone will want to test the website for themselves.

"Obamacare will destroy the economy for evars!"
"Obamacare will bankrupt individual citizens!"
"Obamacare will cause some limited financial damage to certain small business owners."

I don't susperct the modern gop will ever get to the point of actually saying, and meaning, "we are fucked" because there is too much $$$ to be made by saying "all we have to do is be more conservative" and a significant portion of their financiers will open their check-books.

$i$ter $arah discovered this early, the romney;s mis-campaign (e.g., rove re-proved) this and rick santorium's involvement in the Virginia race (e.g., "Cuccinelli is getting beat to hell, so Virginians ... send ME money and I will come to Virginia to ... well ... just send me your money) removed all doubt.

Part One: Just to say "no" to everything. Well first start saying "yeah we will talk." Then vote "no" on everything until Jan 14. Then the plan is to shut down the government while saying "no", until Feb 14. I think they haven't thought past Feb 14 but the plan until they come up with the rest of the plan is to just say "no" and "it's the Dems and Obama but especially that old mean man Reid. It's all their fault."

Part Two: Buy the orange man lots of booze and primary everyone.

seems like such and obvious tactic, I would assume they were doing that. Millions of the connections to that site weren't really potential subscribers at all, just an effort to intentionally jam things up.

They'll switch to some new outrage, or back to an old one like BENGHAZIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII!!!! as the website improves.

Likewise, the media will drop the entire website discussion with little to no mention of the improvements.

It will be people visiting the websites.

And, the "Obamacare website declared fixed" story will be a big headline, thanks to Republicans' overplaying of their hand.

The former provides opportunity for conflict, controversy and outrage, the latter generally does not.

now that the issue of website code has become a topic of conversation . . .

This may be of benefit in the end, because the website will likely be better for all this attention than it ordinarily would have, just in time for enrollments.

I don't understand why the DNC does not make this observation more often.

They are too blinded by citing dry statistics and minutiae when they should be saying things more simply like the above. They need to be visceral and emotional.
