Department of Duh: "Mystery Blonde Girl Is Roma After All"

breaking now - nobody could have anticipated that the child STOLEN by the greek authorities for being Blonde while in a Roma encampment, was in fact a Roma child.

I knew a few Roma people in Boston as neighbors and patients. Adoptions might be informal, handled outside the legal system, informally, but are fairly frequent as a way to increase/decrease family size and make sure all the Roma kids are getting fed and clothed. It drives legal authorities nuts, but it's not that bad a system.

It looks like that's exactly what has happened here.
