Single Payer question

If we went to a single payer medical solution, would that eliminate the responsibilities of your employer providing benefits?

If so, why are so many organizations against reducing their costs and moving the resp of healthcare to the federal government?

to take away your Health Care and bring in Death Panels. Ooooooooooo.
Real answer: No good reason in hell to oppose single payer. Just expand Medicare.

is making it easier for people to change jobs or to start businesses on their own. Do you think
large corporations want to encourage that?

5. Yes, employers would no longer have to provide that benefit

That would increase wages as they could actually pay people what they are truly worth.

Single Payer would also reduce overall healthcare expenditures dramatically as there would no longer be the profit overhead currently built into the system.

It is the single most efficient method to provide healthcare coverage for a citizenry and is by far the most intelligent way.

This is why the United States cannot have single payer because the insurance lobby is too powerful.

6. It seems

As if there would be no downside.

The Corporations would save money in a few ways.
1. Not having to provide healthcare funding.
2. They could have less tax accountants on staff due to less regulations.
3. There would be less pressure to hire if the healthcare issue is settled.

The individual would have less risk when job hunting. It may even bring out new innovations and new markets.
You can take a chance when you have less risk.

The country would benefit long run because you would see more businesses start up and it would bring new tax streams.

Seems like a win-win...
