No longer can an advertiser stay quiet and ignore the situation. Silence is now affirmation of Pigboy and tacit acceptance.
This isn't over. The stations that carry him have only just started to get the heat. No ads means no revenue and that is the equivalent of shutting down the transmitter.

If we don't decisively act now, this will blow over.

I would be shocked if there isn't an exit clause (a 'foot in mouth' clause) in Rush's contract for just such a situation.
He may move to satellite radio, but his days of over the air syndication are over. It can't be done without advertisers, and nobody is going to underwrite the show at this point, even the Kochs.

(8,421 posts)However, the stations they operate have local ad dollars. I wrote these two stations and said I'd been monitoring their websites and contacting their advertisers directly.
