Some people called my tennis match against Bobby Riggs, "The Battle of the Sexes."
But the real battle is playing out in the halls of Congress right now, because Republicans are waging an epic battle against womens health care choices.
I signed the DCCCs petition telling Republicans to end their War on Women and ensure womens voices are heard in discussions about women's health care. If we can get 134,691 more signatures, we'll have one million strong standing against the Republicans' assault on womens rights.
Will you sign the "Stop the Republican War on Women" petition today?
You may know me from my tennis career, but some of my biggest victories came off the court--for fairness, equality and progress for women. Thats why I'm so appalled by what were seeing in Congress right now.
First, House Republicans held a hearing on women's access to birth control coverage that included a panel with five men and no women. Then they changed their own rules and refused to televise testimony from womens rights advocate Sandra Fluke.
Republicans want to silence women but I refuse to sit on the sidelines. Help us send Republicans a clear, unmistakable, and powerful message.
Join me and immediately sign the DCCC's petition calling on Speaker Boehner, Leader Eric Cantor and House Republicans to end their War on Women and ensure women's voices are heard in discussions about women's health care.
Thanks for reading,

"But the real battle is playing out in the halls of Congress right now, because Republicans are waging an epic battle against womens health care choices."
King calls on Democratic supporters to sign a DCCC petition asking House Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio), House Majority Leader Eric Cantor (R-Va.) and other top Republicans to include women in congressional discussions on topics that affect women's health. She urges supporters to sign the petition to make sure their voices are heard in the wake of last month's GOP-led House committee hearing on birth control that included no female witnesses and no supporters of President Barack Obama's contraception rule.

Petition:
House Republicans have launched an all-out war on women since taking the Speaker's gavel. In the last year, Republicans have:
Proposed redefining rape to only cases of "forcible rape" to deny access to women's health services.
Voted to defund Planned Parenthood and repeatedly tried to restrict access to women's health care services.
Held a hearing on women's health with five men and no women.
Over the last week, we saw top Republican leaders squirm at denouncing or even criticizing Rush Limbaugh after he called women's health care advocate Sandra Fluke a "slut" and a "prostitute" on his radio show.
