Alabama Republican Saw Photos From Gay Porn Site And Quickly Exclaimed, "Holy Cow, That's Bill Pryor!"
http://legalschnauzer.blogspot.com/2013/09/alabama-republican-saw-photos-from-gay.html
The Republican official did meet that afternoon with Pryor, who would soon become Alabama's attorney general, and the photos disappeared the next day from badpuppy.com, a gay porn "supersite" based in Cocoa, Florida.
Our research indicates a mystery man named "Ernie" played a pivotal role in exposing Bill Pryor's ties to gay porn. More on that in a moment.
What exactly did the Alabama Republican see that day? ...........

(15,262 posts)The story is about hypocrisy and about the reporter getting a police beating and being a political prisoner in Alabama as we speak.
Gravitycollapse
(8,155 posts)So, the OP makes no sense.

(15,262 posts)The Republican federal judge in question and in the gay porn site photos is explicitly anti-homosexual given his public statements.
He is also the person involved in fixing the 2002 election in Alabama.
Gravitycollapse
(8,155 posts)Honestly, is there nothing better to report on?
Coyotl
(15,262 posts)The potential Democratic presidential candidate who is a political prisoner because these republicans fixed the election probably thinks their hypocrisy merits concern!
Everyone who is gay and hates being gay-bashed by Republicans probably does.
Gravitycollapse
(8,155 posts)No, because the story you yourself posted doesn't even suggest the connection. You simply took a guy who 16 years ago exposed a Republican judge who posed in a porn shoot 30 years ago and then attempted to make it seem as though that was the reason he was beaten and thrown in jail.
Coyotl
(15,262 posts)The evidence indicates Shuler was beaten by the police. Does that concern you at all?
Thanks for making the connection to Pryor though! The OP does not do that, but I'm glad you raised the point.
Gravitycollapse
(8,155 posts)From the actual potential conspiracy involving his beating and arrest and police misconduct. That makes your CLEARLY spurious connection that much worse because it attempts to craft evidence when there is CLEARLY more than enough actual evidence to support Shuler.
Coyotl
(15,262 posts)The OP presents the article and then provides links to other stories about the same journalist.
You protesteth too much!
Gravitycollapse
(8,155 posts)As if the intent of your OP wasn't clear enough?
On edit: You yourself have further argued the connection down thread.
Coyotl
(15,262 posts)So don't get in a tizzy because I'm responding to your attacks.
You created the Pryor porn-police beating connection to attack the OP.
Gravitycollapse
(8,155 posts)and the beating/arrest story. You yourself attempted to argue the two were connected on multiple occasions in this very thread and that includes the OP that was posted before I ever even graced this thread with my presence. So the accusation you are making against me is decidedly anachronistic.
IrishAyes
(6,151 posts)AND YOU DAMN WELL KNOW IT.
Gravitycollapse
(8,155 posts)So, no, I don't see what you are apparently seeing. I see someone digging up dirt in the form of 30 year old gay porn 16 years ago. And then I see someone trying to argue a clearly spurious connection between that 16 year old report and the reporters very recent arrest for an order revolving around a completely different person.
Do you want to enlighten me on the conspiracy here?
IrishAyes
(6,151 posts)clear to you in other posts. Read the one with the chart. All you're doing is trying to stir the pot. I won't play along with you.
Gravitycollapse
(8,155 posts)Disconnected from Shuler's "investigative" reporting on Pryor's 30 year old soft-core porn shoot. The two are not related even though the OP is trying to get us to believe otherwise.
This is about accuracy and integrity in reporting a story. Not trying to bend reality because it will go over well on a liberal website if people don't bother to actually read what happened.

Roger Shuler was arrested and beaten by Shelby County sheriff's deputies at his home one month and five days later, on Oct. 23.

(9,462 posts)greatest political prosecution in the last hundred or so years. The stories about what has happened in Alabama in the last ten years will absolutely stun you. You won't even think it happened in America. What it says to many of us, aside from the fact that he's a hypocrite who has ruled from the bench against homosexuals and been an outspoken opponent of gay rights, it is possibly a reason he was the judge who ruled in some of these cases. Ahem, blackmail. And, btw, whatever pity you feel for him. You might want to save it for Governor Siegelman. Or the Republican woman who told the truth about what was going on and was run off the road and then had her house burned down.
Not only has it been clearly determined that the Baldwin Country election was a fraud. There is bi-partisan support for Siegelman's release from about 140 state attorneys general. One calling him the "only political prisoner in the United States".
Coyotl
(15,262 posts)On each occasion, at least two vehicles and two deputies came to our home and pounded on the door. At least two times, the second vehicle was a sports utility model that looks like it could be used for transporting prisoners. At least one time, three deputies appeared at our door step.

(8,155 posts)In what aspect is that objective journalism, in your eyes?
Clearly Shuler has made A LOT of enemies over the years. To think that of all things he was beaten and arrested for posting some stupid story about a Republican judge posing nude 3 decades ago is ridiculous.
And his wife is barricading herself in her house, why? Is this a police situation? Is she live blogging herself hold up in her house against police orders? I don't understand what's going on here.
I'm sorry but all of this sounds like the semi-insane ramblings of a couple who are just a tad too invested in fantasy despite the odd fact that they seem to have uncovered some very real corruption over the years.

(8,155 posts)There is a way to construct an objective, thoughtful series of stories in order to demonstrate a conspiracy. And you've somehow managed to pick the ONE thing that likely has nothing to do with his arrest; that has NOTHING to do with Don Siegelman's wrongful prosecution. How did you manage to do that by accident?

This much is fact:
Roger Shuler is in jail and was beaten by the police. He has asked for legal funding help and added a PayPal donation button to his website.
Roger Shuler wrote the article about the nude photos.
You made a connection between the two.
Thanks for helping keep this OP at the top. I hope it adds to the donations.

I swear, I think he had some link to Gov. Siegelman's case. I'm going to try and look it up. Maybe he had something to do with that massive voting fraud that took place in that small town where the results were completely overturned after the governor's race was called and everyone went to bed.

(15,262 posts)interview with Don Siegelman... http://occupykst.info/Lobby/Abramoff/abramoff2.html
First: Jack Abromoff, is validating what I have been saying for more than a decade ... Abramoff confessed that he laundered $20 million dollars of gambling money through fake organizations to defeat me and my Education Lottery proposal and to elect my opponent Bob Riley.
Then they came after me using the wife of my opponents campaign manager (Karl Rove's best friend), the US Attorney to prosecute me. ... Bob Riley had Karl Rove/Abramoff connections before getting into the race against me. ... after I won, the two people who got credit for stealing my election were Dan Gans (a Riley staffer) who went to work for Abramoff immediately after the election and Karl Rove's partner, Kitty Mc Collough who later got married and changed her name to Kelly Kimbrough...Oh, by the way, it was Karl Rove's client, the state Attorney General, who started the investigation and it was Karl Rove's client who stopped me from having a recount after my election was stolen.
Anyway, this is only the tip of the Abramoff/Rove iceberg. We know, for example, that Abramoff was paying George Berger, a political consultant, to help run my opponent's campaign. He worked out of the offices of the Business Council of Alabama. The other big time political operative who was running my opponent's campaign was Bill Canary, the husband of my prosecutor. Bill Canary is Rove's best friend and business partner in Alabama and is President of the Business Council of Alabama.
A word on Canary: He was George H.W. Bush's Special Assistant, was Chairman of the RNC and ran the ground troops for the Bush-Quayle campaign with Rove. After losing that race, they both moved to Alabama. Rove married a girl from Mobile and settled at Rosemary Beach on the Gulf Coast. And Canary married Leura Garrett, a lawyer working for the Attorney General Office, who became my prosecutor, once she was approved by Rove to be Alabama's US Attorney. Canary signed on as a paid consultant for one of my opponents who was running in the Republican primary before settling in as the campaign manager for my general election opponent the Rove/Abramoff choice, Bob Riley. Canary and Rove were also working for Bill Pryor for Attorney General along with Chris Weller, whose wife was Leura Canary's top assistant in the US Attorney's office and who was spearheading the "Siegelman investigation."

William Pryor was a ferociously partisan figure and one of the

Roger Shuler, the prominent progressive blogger whose columns frequently appear in OEN, was arrested and beaten by Shelby County sheriff's deputies at his Alabama garage upon returning home about 6 p.m. Oct. 23 from the local library. Roger faces a resisting arrest charge stemming from his refusal to obey a judge's order to stop writing about an affair he alleges involved Robert Riley Jr., a well-connected attorney who is part of Alabama's most prominent political family.
Later, authorities were holding Shuler indefinitely on two contempt of court charges issued by a judge in what seems like a "kangaroo court." There's no bond available. Also, Roger must post a $1,000 bond on his charge of resisting arrest for a struggle that occurred in his garage, which is attached to his home in Birmingham. ...
Roger's arrest stems from his reporting and commentary about political, government, legal, sexual, and financial intrigues normally kept out of the media that the public sees. But much of it is of keen interest to the politicians, lobbyists, reporters, and lawyers who are wheeler-dealers playing the system. He has made the courageous and public-spirited decision that the public deserves to know in keeping with our constitutional and other mantras about the right of free expression, and the need for it in a democracy.
More specifically, the court has taken draconian measures after hearing only one side in a defamation case against public figures, who normally have a hard time under long-established law proving libel except in cases of extreme recklessness. Among the mind-boggling harsh measures the judge promptly imposed were orders to delete previously published material, forbid new writing, and to seal the court record from public view.

(86,660 posts)F'd up.
I was curious when I saw Pryor's name because I distinctly recall watching his confirmation hearings and thought that it would be a total ugly-demon-nightmare-from-hell if he ever made progress as a federal judge. He made my skin crawl just watching him argue that his overtly radical bible-thumping "record" was all anyone had to look at in order to determine how he was right for the appointment.
So seeing the article in LS I decided I did want to see how badly damning that photo was... it's him and he's one of the biggest, lying hypocrites alive on the face of the planet at present. So I decided to scroll down to the comments section to see what the locals had to say...
(This is for the poster arguing whether this is significant and is connected to the plea for help and the concept that the journalist was arrested and beaten for publishing this)
If one bothers to read through just the first 1/5 of the comments made, it is clear that he was facing retaliation for the article/expose' and many of the comments expressed concern about his safety. His and another associates' computers were hacked almost immediately after he contacted Pryor for comment. there were also comments concerning the election fiasco, the elected official's opponent/sitting governor being framed and jailed and appeals denied by Pryor and some other nasty things that lead back to Pryor's bench.
Personally, I hope the "news" of this goes viral and that he is defrocked or whatever the appropriate term is for his being exposed and his being "brought to justice."
If I had the funds, I'd hire the best attorney to be found for this journalist. This is just the beginning of Pryor's (and others') demise, I hope.
