As long as there's a Limbaugh, a Townhall, a Worldnutdaily, a Mark Levin

etc., persuading poor and lower middle class whites (most males, I believe), will be a steep, uphill battle.

No, not all these people read townhall or listen to Levin or rush, but they virtually all hear the memes these fucks promulgate, day after day after day.

Here are the front page stories on townhall right not:

"Why Teachers' Unions Want Sex Offenders In Your Child's Classroom"

God's Judging America: He’s Giving Us Gutless Leaders and Effeminate Men

The Two Types of Child Victimization at Government Schools

It would be laughable if it weren't so effective.

and worldnutdaily? even worse and more racist.

The real problem is a media that thinks giving these idiots airtime and treating them seriously equals "balance."

the MSM for all its myriad faults doesn't echo this shit, but this shit has a huge impact on a certain demographic.

yes, there have always been crackpots and they've had influence before- think Father Coughlin, but now with the internet and talk radio the crackpots have a much bigger megaphone.

The media, desperate to fill the 24/7 news cycle, reports all viewpoints the same in the name of balance, even those that are founded on lies, conspiracy theories, paranoia, what have you. No reporter ever seems to say "...but that's ridiculous."

And even if they are confronted, they retreat to "Well, that's my stance. That's what I believe." As if being entitled to one's opinion has any relevance in the face of facts or the truth.
