The ugly way Sarah Palin turns down a cable news interview

Sarah Palin found a novel way to turn down an interview request from Piers Morgan on Friday, posting a picture on Facebook of a bear she had shot dead and a note saying she was busy.

The former Alaska governor thanked chat show host Morgan for inviting her on his 'shambolic show' but added she was 'kind of busy right now'.

The Facebook message, which had been liked by nearly 3,000 of Palin's supporters within two hours of it being posted, is part of an online spat between the pair after Morgan poked fun at her intellect.

I'm going to have to start watching this guy. That's pretty f'ing good. Like poking fun at a unicorn.

How the hell does someone "poke fun" at something that doesn't exist.

She's a brand. She probably wasn't 'shopped into the picture with the bear, but there's no reason to believe she writes her own FB updates or signs her own pin-ups.

where her daddy was working the bolt action on the rifle for her and conclude anything but the fact that the whole "huntress grizzly mama" persona of the frontier woman who kills and skins her own game is complete sham.

Interestingly, one of the clips I found of that edited the stuff that was negative to Sarah out of there (the missed shots and her dad working the bolt), but the Daily Caller's version has not:

It was so obviously a canned hunt. Her father even says "don't worry, take your time, he's not going anywhere" after her 5TH miss. And her bullshit urgency like her family would starve if not for that meat? I am sure that just pissed alot of people off also. There are alot of families up there that rely on moose and caribou and bear to get through the winter... hers is not one of them.

When Sarah Palin took us on a hunting/camping trip with her dad Chuck Heath on the latest episode of Sarah Palin’s Alaska, she said hunting was necessary to “fill her freezer!”

Hunting for caribou means “food on the table and in the freezer for a lot of Alaskans,” the former Govenor extolled. She opened her freezer to let us see how the Palin meat pantry was getting bare.

***

The grand Palin total to bag a caribou and get it back to the Palin homestead added up to $42,400, or $141.33 per lb. of caribou meat. Sarah shot and killed a female cow which may have weighed up to 300 lbs. Just to put this is perspective, the Palins could have filled their freezer with ribeye steak at $10.99 a lb. from Alaska’s Mr. Prime Beef, which is based in Anchorage and ships anywhere in the state.

I have no problem with hunting as a hobby and eating what you catch. But when Sarah goes on about being “tough, independent and self sufficent” and that’s why she hunts, she can’t be serious. How many Americans can afford to be that “self sufficent” and “self sustaining” when it costs $42,400 to personally hunt for their meat?

What did Morgan do to incite this crass response? Palin is very thin skinned for a politician.

BTW, does she realize that the rifle is pointing at her?

....and hunting is a big thing here.

Another big thing in this area is posing the least capable member of the family with
whatever was killed, and then posting the photo at the WalMart or in the local paper.
Every year we see photos of 4 year old babies posed with a hunting rifle or a 6' longbow in front of a kill arranged to look like they were the actual hunter.
This is very popular, and everybody laughs.

I see they do the same in Alaska.
