http://www.philly.com/philly/news/20131030_In_Delco__a_political_statement_or_an_ugly_reminder_.htmlStupid man hangs skeleton from its neck outside his house, dressed in an Obama-Biden shirt.
He has attracted protesters, and seems to be enjoying "angering Democrats". I'm surprised that people have stayed calm, and his house hasn't been egged, or his vehicle damaged. Good for them.

(17,600 posts)Shit, he might have worked on other campaigns around here with me, until Obama got nominated. Or maybe there are local relatives that I've canvassed or met on campaigns.
Anyway, Swarthmore * is not a place one expects these things.
(* I don't live there but it's not too far away, so I am familiar with the ambiance of the town.)

I had friends who had one of those beautiful old stone houses in Swarthmore. They were actually the people who took me with them to my first Quaker Meeting - so the exact opposite of this guy.
You never know what some old nut will do to get attention. In our neck of the woods (Lafayette Hill) we had a guy who claimed to be a Dem who ended up to be a very prominent birther. Filed a bunch of lawsuits.
He ran for local office as a Democrat, and the local party actually went door to door to Dems to let them know NOT to vote for him (he didn't get in).
On edit: I didn't name the guy, because he makes his living suing people, and probably googles his own name every day just looking for defamation suits.

(129,096 posts)since we don't have open primaries here in PA. There were calls from Rushbo the Hutt back in 2008 for rethugs to register Dem in the primaries to support Hillary.
