Condolences to Thom and Louise Hartmann, on the passing of their kitty Higgins.

I once spoke to Thom on the air about Higgins when they thought
he just had a thyroid condition. Thom was visibly in mourning but is braving through his show today. For anyone who thinks this is just a cat, no this is a member of a family who was loved as much as a child.

My heart goes out to the Hartmanns and hopefully Higgins is now rolling in that catmint patch in the sky purring, which he loved to do.

The conservatives changed the programing on the only liberal radio station to sports. I was introduced to some good people via that station, Al Franken, Rachel Maddow, Thom, The Young Turks, Stephanie Miller, Big Ed, and Randi Rhodes. They are all gone from Seattle radio and I miss them.

Same thing happened here, but I'm still able to get Thom on Free Speech TV on my DirecTV satellite feed. You can also stream him over the Free Speech TV website.

Bellevue College's noncommercial station KBCS 91.3, live weekdays noon to 3. KLAY 1180 out of Tacoma replays the show 4-7pm.

I cried my heart out...for each one...

Lost my puppy dog...and cried for weeks...She loved to ride in the car so for her last day on earth I just drove and drove and drove...never had a destination...sadly I knew what her's was...I even cried as I drove..knowing.

on edit: I always refer to cats as she....and dogs as he...even though my puppy dog was a she...

fraternity, whose denizens kept him locked in a bathroom with a pit bull, fed only pizza and
potato chips and only having shower water to drink. His early childhood gave him kitty issues like aggression that the Hartmanns had to work with.
