I realize that despite all the big cities across the USA there are many rural places that do not have access to pro sports, and I am lucky to live in a City that has many to choose from. Even so, There are years I can afford to go and times when its totally impossible and have other financial priorities, but we just had the World Series happen, and the NFL is underway, along with the NBA, and NHL... it can be fun entertainment but I know for some, so can going to the Golf Course.

I hope this poll is fun, because its great to see how many people think its still a value these days, despite the rising costs of ticket prices.

the MLB. For 5 dollars, you can sit in the upper deck and if your kids are under 15, they get in for free with an adult ticket.

Bringing five or six people "out to the ball game," with parking, snacks, drinks, etc. is just way too much dough these days. I could have a game party in my home in front of the tee vee with food, drink and all the fixins for way more people at half the cost.

I enjoy minor league ball in the summertime, though--that's a good day or evening out.

for the bleacher seats at AT&T stadium are about 8.00 dollars. The prices may have gone up, but that is far better than paying 90 some dollars for a NFL, NHL or NBA game.

They're uncomfortable as hell, too. They were selling for a hundred and fifty bucks for the series--if you could get any. People were reselling them for more than twice that.

I used to sit in the bleachers for fifty cent when I was younger--those days are gone.

But the atmosphere at Candlestick park has turned ugly over the past few years and I don't want to expose a 7-year old to that.

No alcohol allowed and students tend to sit in one area.

The rest of the crowd tends to be middle aged football lovers.

I am not even crazy about college football but I enjoy getting to a U of M game every now and then.

Its a lovely stadium and have had seats along the dugout on the first base side with the visiting team. That was great fun.. The stadium in Anaheim is fun too. I have been to a lot of stadiums, but I guess I like AT&T park best.

In a few years the Mr. and I will be celebrating our 50th wedding anniversary and the biggest part of the occasion
is that we have chosen to spend a bit over a month in San Francisco…something we have always wanted to do.

AT & T Park is definitely on our list and our dream would be to see a hit to the Bay…

He is one of the Kayak guys who fishes baseballs out the bay, when a home run is hit there. He even has some famously hit balls, and gotten players to autograph them after the game.

You can always go when they play better teams....

I once flew to Baltimore to see the Red Sox. Well, actually, I had business down that way, anyway, and the ticket to the game was very cheap. Nice stadium, too--very friendly and easy to walk around. I met up with a few other Sox fans and we wandered down to the picnic area, which was right beside the Red Sox bullpen. It was pretty neat to see the pitchers warming up that close!

But that was a while ago--now I have box seats in front of my tee vee!

Something is really really wrong when you haven't seen your favorite team play at the stadium for over a year - and you didn't miss it or have any other emotions about it.

new stadium in Santa Clara. The management claims there are better fans down there. God knows, what Season tickets would cost. Years ago, they were something like 300 dollars a season. They are probably way more expensive than that. Do the new residents know what they are getting? Are they really going to be better fans, when they find out what season tickets cost?

I don't care now, because at least I can watch my Raiders locally and not have to pay an extra cent, and if I want I can buy a ticket and take BART over to the Oakland Alameda County Coliseum, and it will still be cheaper than going to that brand new Stadium down south. The Niners colors are Red and Gold... but its the fans who will have to pay for that GOLD.
