What I enjoy about tonight's win is that it is a strong message to bigoted sexist homophobic voters in VA that in an off year election this happens!

I am so happy to see that despite the Democrats having a beltway Dem who couldn't be more connected and therefore disliked by the anti-politics crowd, we still get a victory in an election year that highly favors Republicans. One thing that many of us know is that in elections that lack Congressional races and especially the presidential race, Republicans always seem to come out and vote their people into office in purple and red states in off-year elections.

So, what a great great victory for the Democrats, and those who are for the worker's pay rights, women's right to choose, gay rights to be joined in marriage. The tea party candidate in this election was offensive and judgmental and would have continued the march towards right-wing fundamentalist policies against the people's right to live their life without repression!

WAY TO GO VIRGINIA VOTERS! A big win in an off-year, you should be so proud in a purple state to get this victory!
