Per AP, Dem Mark Herring within 1,300 votes in #VAAG. Was pessimistic and would love to be wrong.

(34,483 posts)The WaPo had reported a few days ago that many federal workers voted early while on shutdown, and that these leaned Dem, at least in NoVA.
It would be great if the AG went to the Dems.

Dem Mark Herring netted about 5k in #VAAG Arlington County absentees. No Loudoun AVs yet, though.

(609 posts)Are they just not being reported yet?
College son voted absentee in Loudoun -- that's at least one for us!

(609 posts)According to SBOE, of the remaining precincts, 4 are voting Democratic and 2 are voting Republican. I think I missed one but the Democratic precincts included areas in Roanoke and Norfolk.
Fingers crossed.

(10,500 posts)Roanoke and Norfolk are still out. And they might have more voters in each of their precincts than the GOP leaning areas have in theirs.
I am also not sure what is going on with absentees. I figure McAuliffe must have had a pretty good absentee program, that would benefit the Dems.

(10,745 posts)And still 5 precincts to go, all in Norfolk, a city that's heavily Blue at that.

(36,974 posts)I believe earlier 'one precinct' had absentee's still out (besides the five precincts that haven't reported anything yet)
But don't know if that 'one precincts' absentee votes are in the totals yet or not.
