"Hydro fracking" on my street???

I'm sure it's purely coincidence, but living in farm country, you can't be too sure; there are three huge trucks in the front yard of a house down the street. Obviously well drilling, but one of the rigs is HUGE. They set up this morning, and when I drove by an hour ago there appeared to be a big (20' dia) cement cap in the yard, through which the rig was drilling. One of the trucks had the company's name on it with big letters saying "HYRDRO FRAC" on the side.

WTF? In my little town? Tell me they're just digging a water well...this is in a freakin' historic district!

Who'da thunk that "Hydro Frac" was a trade mark? That's exactly what it said on the side of the truck. I was just surprised at the amount of equipment...three very big trucks, one had a virtual derrick erected in the lawn! I kind of figured our little town would never have let actual gas fracking take place -- especially right across from the town green -- without a big uproar.
